The power-train remains same on 2010 Toyota Avalon; a 3.5L V6 version that was also used in previous versions, which produces 268 hp of power at an angular speed of 6200 rpm and torque of 210 lb ft at 4700 rpm.
However, the only transmission option this year is the 6-speed automatic transmission.
A mid-cycle refresh for ’08 replaced the previously mandatory five-speed automatic transmission with a six-speed unit; other changes included new headlamps and a revised front fascia on 2010 Toyota Avalon.
The latest generation Toyota Avalon has the seating capacity to accommodate up to 6-passengers. The trim levels remain same, viz the base model XL, XLS and top level Limited. In Edmunds’ Toyota Avalon review, they’ve praised its reliability, while Yahoo! has greatly praised its smooth handling & roomy interiors.
The Toyota Avalon headlights, which are very new to the model gives an elegant look when seen from the front.
Pros and Cons
The main advantages in the current generation Toyota Avalon model are its ride quality, acceleration, passenger room, automatic transmission performance and quietness, whereas the navigation system controls in the interior region are treated as its main disadvantages.
