The all new Jaguar XJ is redesigned for 2011, and it will compete with the likes of the new BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and Lexus LS 460. Here’s a brief review of Jaguar XJ 2011 edition.
It comes with modified exteriors and interior design as well as a muscular engine. 2010 XJ was available in 4 models; Supersport, Supercharged, XJL (long wheelbase), and XJ, and for 2011, there are no changes in the line up.
The vehicle comes with 19-inch wheels, optional adaptive headlights, and rear spoiler.
Coming to its interiors, it has standard panoramic glass roof, standard leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard ventilated and heated front seats, standard leather-covered dashboard, optional carbon fiber and dash, and optional ventilated rear seats.
Under the Hood
The new XJ shares its six-speed automatic transmission and direct-injection power plants with the XF. Moreover, the vehicle comes with lightweight aluminum construction and a similar aerodynamic drag coefficient. The vehicle is designed with standard 5.0-liter V8 engine that pumps out 385 horsepower, while the optional supercharged 5.0-liter engine produces a whooping 510 hp in the SuperSport, and 470 hp in the supercharged trim level. The vehicle has a traditional air-spring suspension, which varies firmness as conditions dictate.
The safety features are standard anti-lock brakes, standard front seat belts that cinch up under aggressive cornering and heavy braking, and standard electronic stability system.
