We have talked enough about the 2012 Camry hybrid already, haven’t we?

Well, so we thought why not cover the 2011 Camry hybrid too, though there isn’t much to talk about, as it just looks like every other Camry, comes with dull driving dynamics, small trunk, and doesn’t impress with its fuel economy either.

On the brighter side, it’s roomy, has reputation for reliability, and gives a good resale value, not to mention the smooth hybrid performance.

2012 Camry Hybrid is a solid family sedan that is accessible in two trim levels: LE and XLE; it gets fully redesigned for this year.

It is powered by a 2.5-L 4-cylinder engine, good to produce 165 hp, and 156 lb-ft of torque and an electric motor, which furnishes low speed propulsion to bring gas engine to existence when it locks up at stoplights to save fuel. So, the total output power comes to 200 hp. The power to the front wheels is sent through a continuously variable transmission.



The estimated gas mileage is impressive at 43 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on highway, and 41 mpg in combined driving.

The standard safety equipments include antilock brakes with brake assist, full-length side curtain airbags, front and back seat side airbags, knee airbags, stability control, and blind-spot monitoring system.
