Mahindra renamed its Logan model as Verito in 2011 April, following the end of its collaboration with the French automaker Renault.
The refreshed Verito is a compact sedan, which comes with some exterior and interior changes. It is designed to fight with Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Aveo, and Hyundai Accent.
It comes in both petrol and diesel variants; the petrol engine model is incorporated with a 1.4-L MPFI engine, good for 75 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine model gets a 1.5-L common rail engine for generating 65 bhp, and 160 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The petrol variant offers a fuel economy of 11.3 kmpl in city, and 15.7 kmpl on highway, while the diesel variant gives an impressive 13.8 kmpl in city and 19.2 kmpl on the highway.
