The Super Chief Ford F-250 comes powered by something called as Tri-Flex fuelling. This technology allows the concept pickup to run for straight 500 miles with the help of a supercharged V10 power-plant.
The vehicle makes use of E85 ethanol, hydrogen or gasoline as its primary fuel. This vehicle makes a major breakthrough for ethanol and hydrogen powered vehicles.
The tri-fuel flexibility is a pioneering technology developed by Ford to promote hydrogen and ethanol as alternate fuel options; this of course is largely supported by continuous development of infrastructures related to these two fuels. The name of the vehicle is inspired by the older and legendary American Super Chief trains.
