Smart refers to its new urban pickup concept- For-us as the perfect car for the younger generation with active lives, who give importance to occupy minimum road space and low emissions.
This new 2-passenger coupe is not even 140 inches long and comes with a 55kW electric motor that is capable of churning out 96 pf of torque.

The automaker says that there is enough space in bed for 2 smart ebikes in this minitruck.
The tailgate can slide down to grant access to the bed and the cargo floor can be retracted electrically. The top speed that it can reach is 75 mph.

Jack Among the various cars that are scheduled to make their debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, is a strange automobile- yes, it’s a lawn tractor from Craftsman- the CTX series.
This new tractor is expected to be out for sale in February with a price tag ranging between $3,000 and $6,500.

AMP’s 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee EV to be Revealed at Detroit Auto Show

Jack AMP Electric Vehicles (OTCQB and OTCBB: AMPD), which specializes in SUV electric models, has announced that they will be broadening their product line with the new AMP Jeep Grand Cherokee electric vehicle, which is scheduled to be revealed at the North American International Auto Show in 20120 in Detroit.

This is supposed to be the latest revelation of the proprietary technology of AMP for full-sized vehicles and SUVs.
EV buyers will have two good choices in the market today, including AMP’s Mercedes M-Class EV. The initial delivery dates, pricing, and market distribution will be announced at the Detroit Auto Show.
IIHS Top Safety Picks 2012 Revealed

Jack Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has finally released the list of 2012 models, which have been rated as the ‘Top Safety Picks’- there are around 11 models in each segment of vehicles.
The top picks include 3 pickups, 5 minivans, 38 SUVs, and 69 cars in the rollover, front, side, and rear crash tests.

Going by manufacturer, Subaru had a Top Pick in almost every segment that it builds.
Toyota also had many Top Picks (with 15) followed by General Motors (14), Audi/Volkswagen (13), Honda/Acura and Ford/Lincoln (12 each), and Fiat/Dodge/Chrysler (11).
IIHS safety tests are normally tougher than the feds’.
