Engine Specs
Coming to mechanical details, the first generation 850i was available with a 5.0 liter V12 engine for 296 hp of power. With this engine, the vehicle reached a speed of 62 miles per hour in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of about 155 mph. The model 850i was offered with a standard manual 6-speed transmission and also an automatic 4-speed transmission.
In addition to this, the vehicle shared similar suspension aspects of 850CSi, and also had wider rear tires and lower suspension for enhanced handling. In its lifespan, approximately, 1,000 units were sold.
