Highlander is considered as one of the very first midsize SUVs from the house of Toyota. This sports utility vehicle was initially offered with various features such as improved crash-worthiness, low cabin noise, advanced handling capacity and higher level of comfort in comparison to the traditional SUVs offered by the company. Now, the latest generation Highlander has been rolled out, and it has created a buzz in the market.
It was redesigned in 2008 with spacious interiors, and the new 2008 Highlander SUV turned out to be quite larger in comparison to its predecessor models.
This vehicle is quite useful for families as well individuals due to its high comfort level and easy driving control system. In terms of fuel economy, this beast is not far behind its competitors. This crossover SUV comes with seven passenger seating capacity.
Trims
Toyota currently offers three trim levels of 2010 Highlander models viz Limited, Sport as well as base variants. The Highlander Sport trim is equipped with bigger wheels, luxury amenities for the convenience of passengers as well as sports tuned suspension system. The Limited variant was offered with leather upholstery, soft turning suspension system.
Drive-Train
All the 2010 models are offered in front wheel drive, but they are also available in the all wheel drive system. New models come equipped with 2.7L 4-cylinder engine in its base variant, whereas the 3.5L V6 engine is available on sport and limited models. Toyota is also offering a hybrid version of the new Toyota Highlander variant these days.
