The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox is a mid size SUV that has the seating capacity of five passengers. It is currently offered in 1LT, 2LT, LTZ, and LS trim levels.
The conventional amenities provided in the standard 1LT and LS trims are quite decent.
On the other hand, the 2LT trim includes additional features like upgraded audio, and automatic climate control.
2010 Chevy Equinox LTZ
The top-lined LTZ comes with upgraded features like leather upholstery and a power lift gate. All versions are fully loaded with all kinds of safety airbags and stability control. Noteworthy options on higher trims include a hard-drive-based navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system.
Coming to the performance features, 2010 Equinox has a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is good to produce 172 pound-feet of torque and 182 horsepower. The aforesaid engine is available on all versions, but a 3.0-liter V6 engine is exclusively available in the LS trim that gives out 222 lbs-ft of torque and 264 hp. Both engines are designed with front-wheel drive configuration and 6-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive pattern is optional.
According to the reviews, the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox has the most attractive standard and safety features. Unlike the earlier version, the present generation Equinox released by Chevy is stylish outside and spacious inside. What’s more, it also provides quiet, and smooth driving experience.
However, just as every coin has a flip side, the 2010 Equinox is considered to be a poor contender in terms of its exterior dimensions. It has shorter dimensions than earlier model with overall length being reduced considerably. Despite this, 2010 Equinox is regarded to be one of the best mid-size crossovers in the automotive market.
