The 2010 BMW 5-Series looks pretty impressive, but it comes with minimal modifications when compared with its predecessor. Next generation 5-series cars are produced in two body styles – wagon and sedan.
All the contenders in BMW 5-series, namely 550i, 535i, and 528i have the standard six-speed manual transmission, while standard six-speed automatic transmission is available optionally as well. The 2010 BMW M5 comes with a standard 7-speed automated manual transmission and it is also available with automatic transmission too.
Support to Rear-Wheel Drive
[ad#blend-post]2010 BMW 5-Series is designed to support rear-wheel drive mechanism, and the current 5-series lineup begins with the 528i version that is designed as a sedan only to support rear-wheel drive.
BMW 535i
Moving forward in the lineup, the new 535i comes in both wagon and sedan body styles. The earlier model was designed will all- or rear wheel drive, where the later is only a all-wheel drive pattern. All 535i and 528i models have a powerhouse 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine that can produce 300 horsepower in the turbocharged 535i, and 230 hp in 528i as well as 550i versions,
BMW 550i
The 2010 550i is the top end trim, which is one of the highest performing sedans this year. The 550i trim is using a 4.8-liter V8 engine to produce a power level of 360-hp and a 5.0-liter V10 engine for developing 500-hp.

The safety features in the 2010 5-series cars include antiskid system, ABS, traction control, as well as rear and front side airbags. BMW Assist concierge and emergency service is yet another standard offering.
